  1. So, is your custom tool handle facing UP or DOWN inside the catalytic compartment?
  2. How were you guys able to get it from below? The steering shaft is in the way, from behind and beside the driver side flex pipe entry! From top, there is only less than 15mm space to reach or see anything. I'm stumped. 2006 Cayenne Turbo.
  3. What does it mean when dash warning shows, "Rear Hatch Open" every time I move forward from dead stop?
  4. Cayenne with air suspension has an air line, in-line filter, to clean the incoming pump air. If this filter comes off the mounting "straw" off the bank1 (passenger) air box - the P2096 code will manifest itself.
  5. Now, let's get to how we can all prevent water intrusion in the first place...
  6. Loren, can you give me the part numbers for items in your exploded diagram? 1) 23/24/25 2) 30-32 3) 40 Thanks in advance!
  7. Loren, can you give me the part numbers for items in your exploded diagram? 1) 23/24/25 2) 30-32 3) 40 Thanks in advance!
  8. Does a "pending P0421 DTC " prevent from setting evap, SAI and catalyst monitors? I have driven 1000 miles and the three pesky I/M readiness monitors still has not set!
  9. If the return spring broke(near caliper side) will the shoes slightly grind-up against the inner rotor? I have been trying to diagnose this annoying "whump-whump" sound for 3 weeks now!
  10. Loren, are the brake shoe return springs replaceable? I think one side of mine broke, as I heard a POP when depressing the parking brake pedal once. Now, the left rear wheel makes a spinning noise from 20-45mph. It sounds like a out-of-balance tire, but the tires has been changed 3 times already....
  11. Loren, Where are the fuses for the 955 Turbo cornering lamps? Mine are both out and bulbs are brand-new. Lamps are new Valeo units. The left side bulb burned out but dash message indicated to "check right cornering lamp." Now, both don't work. Could they be pigtail harness, ballasts.... or, something more sinister?
  12. Common failures are all at the hose joints, mainly the cracking joint of the main pump spider hose and firewall cowl line to master cylinder. I used a self-fusing, silicone wrap tape and telecommunications-grade zip ties to wrap and tighten all the spider hose joints. The "Brake Booster Faulty" message should disappear after first pressing the brake pedal to start the car and the pump runs, to re-vacuum itself. Vacuum pump should not run while in drive.
  13. Are you seeing sooty oil droplets on your rear hatch? That is a telltale sign the RMS is gone.... and, honestly they rarely ever go if using the right oil. I say get a second opinion...
  14. In my never-ending quest to shed unwanted vehicle weight, improve appearance and add a few audible horsepower - I finally deleted the soot and rusty, patina-ridden suitcase muffler, for these T304 Sebring cans. The deep bass sound and precision mechanical growl is simply amazing: ....and, the sound bite:
  15. So, the steel skid plate replaces the entire lower valance or just drapes over existing, soft plastic?
  16. I need a compression test done. Which relevant fuel relays need to get pulled?
  17. They look absolutely BOSS....but the 80lb/ea weight is no-go....literally, unless you got 550hp CTTS.
  18. My SAT radio and PCM 2.1 is stuck in some kind of "boot loop mode" and refuses to properly power-up. I do the 1/4/8 keypad reset and only the Porsche welcome screen comes on for about 28 seconds....then blacks-out. No sound heard whatsoever. Prior to this occurring the PCM was coming-on by itself randomly. Two peculiar things I noticed:a) No buttons on unit illuminate, day or night. b) Dash center indicator shows NOTHING... not even "Radio Off, " or GPS dash Compass. c) I am suspecting the instrument cluster and PCM are no longer communicating.
  19. The 955 and 957 Cayenne tail light lens are insulated away from the bulb receptacles( a good thing). Most condensation moisture enters a crack on the outside top seam of the lamp housing and stays trapped between the outer lens and the insulation barrier. Getting all that water out requires hair dryer heat or exposure to consecutive 80F+ days. I'd still like to find a suitable sealer material that would appear inconspicuous and water-tight....
  20. I am trying to get their free 2 month trial but after them sending many refresh signals - I still cannot seem to get past their generic, Preview Channel 1. Radio is stock Becker SAT/NAV radio. l have the XM module under the passenger rear seat. Is there some kind of firmware update the $tealer needs to perform?
