Thanks for replying. To be honest, I am searching for a cheap solution, because I want to sell the car. Therefore I had the hope that someone has an idea or a trick to repair the old one.

Hi I have got a 996 convertible 1998. After connecting the battery only the code of the PCM worked. The code of the navigation system doesn't work anymore. I got the code several years ago from the local Porsche dealer. I didn't change the system. Today the Porsche dealer tried to start it but wasn't succesful. He just came up with the same code I had already. I had several trys and also disconnected the battery again. Has anybody heard of such a problem? I hope I described the problem understandable, because currently I am not very used to English. Best regards from Germany Soeren
