  1. So I could get away with just replacing the micro switch? Or the whole rack? Deff appreciate the help.
  2. So you replaced the steering rack and it doesn't stop/stall on you? I have that same key problem, and normally if I put the key in, and turn it to the left first then to the right to start and starts up fine.
  3. So, I just received my CTT and as I love the car, it has some faults and I'm hoping some of you guys could help. 1. I was driving the other day, pretty normally and boom cars shuts off. No light, power or anything. I pull over, take out the key and boom fires up and I go on about my way. What could be causing this? Battery? Fuel Pump? Pretty odd, and I'm glad my steering wheel doesn't lock up! Also, the ABS light normally comes on when this happens. I have had the truck only about 3 weeks and it's done it twice. 2. My key usually never works, it can't unlock/lock the car and won't open the trunk usually ever. It's a 2 button key and I replaced the batteries multiple times and nothing. I was quoted at $400 for a new key programmed at PGH Porsche. Is this high? 3. My radio goes up and down in volume randomly.. really bothers me sometimes, any remedies? 4. I get a 'workshop code' for the air suspension, but the suspension works fine. Should I be looking out for anything? I'm asking all these questions on here because the guys down at my P dealer don't seem to know a whole lot, even in the service department. Thanks in advance, any answers would be appreciated.
  4. Cluck has the idea, I have a 2004 CTT and I got a bad clunk and I replaced both bushings and it's gone.
  5. Just scored this pickup from eBay! $275 shipped. The trim is for a 2008 CTT but I took the gamble and it does infact fit for a 2004 CTT! Very happy with OEM quality and the console parts are deff a bonus. Got everything on but this set of parts apart! How do I get the metal trim off for the new set?!
  6. Could you lead me to some of those sites? I looked at Suncoast parts and pelican and have had no luck.
  7. My father drove it and took a look at it, we have figured out it was the control arm. The car was hit on the front right, so we thought to replace that one first. Didn't help the situation, so we replaced the other side, still didn't help. We figured out that the bushing in not only of the replacement arms were bad, but both where. So now we have to send the control arms out to be repaired. Hopefully this will help!
  8. Looking for both interior and exterior metal look trim.. my CTT has 87k and the pieces are looking tired. I have tried to clean them up but I have had no luck. I can't seem to find the exterior trim anywhere.. there is a full kit for interior trim in eBay but it's $470, a little more than I would like to pay. Just wondering if anyone as anywhere else to source trim pieces. Thanks.
  9. I have just received my 2004 Cayenne Turbo, and when I go on the brakes, I can hear a knocking noise, and I can feel it in the brake pedal. On really like to do it at low speeds. The steering wheel also pulls a little bit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  10. Yeah, I didn't break it to him yet, but I don't want any problems to occur with I could imagine, the rather expensive turbo system. I'm fine with sticking with the 2003-2006 Turbo look, but as I said, I'm also considering the 2008 CTT look as well. Just don't wanna do too much work. Thanks for your reply!
  11. So here's how the story goes.. My father and I found a good 2004 Cayenne Turbo that had front right damage, only needed a fender and bumper, and a couple suspension components. Nothing major though. So, while I have been busy with school and such, my father was taking care of ordering the parts. So, Today I came up across the car, and realized that he had ordered a 2004 Cayenne S front bumper. He had told me a couple days earlier after the suspension work had been done and was telling me about the difficulties of fitting the bumper, and I didn't put two and two together to ask him if he had ordered the right one, I just figured he did. Basically I have two questions. 1. If I kept this Cayenne S bumper, which I am rather opposed to, as I find this particular bumper absurdly ugly, would I experience any heat soak or any problems with cooling the intercoolers? 2. What would be the extent of performing the conversions? Are he fenders the same? Has anyone done it, and any pointers would be nice. I would appreciate the help, and I am glad to be apart of the Porsche community! Thank you.
