  1. Hey guys, ended up getting it open but sent it to a shop to have the dial faces swapped to white. Unfortunately the volt gauge came back reading 12v on it? I would have called it out but my brother picked it up and didn't check. Will it self zero, should I take it back or give it some encouragement to go back to zero? Thanks!
  2. Excellent news, I'll try and get a circuit from somewhere as I've already got everything apart from that.
  3. The service manual calls out something to do with the indicator housing on the "new version" anyone know what that means?
  4. Hey guys quick question, my car came with 2 key fobs one working the other is missing the internal circuit board but has the pill inside of it. Is the programming done on the board and the pill or just the pill? Can I buy another board provided it's the correct mhz? Thanks
  5. That top image is where its stuck, am I missing something from the back?
  6. Thanks for that, I have gotten to that point but its still stuck together? So the stalk ends are removed, 2 gold torx screws from the back are removed, side clips removed the bottom clear clips are un-clipped it feels like its about to come apart but then its stuck at the very top of the tacho. Also its a MK2 cluster there seems to be limited info on the MK2? Cheers
  7. Okay guys need a little bit of help please! Was able to get the stalk ending off (was on there quite tight and I didnt want to break the stalk). So far I have removed the 2 screws in the back and the 2 clips on the sides. When I try and open up the cluster I release the two tabs on the bottom and it starts to come apart but it seems like its getting caught at the top of the tacho?? I know there is a clip there but any tips on how to open it up? Have I missed a clip/screw?? Thanks
  8. Actually while we are on the topic, anyone have any tricks to remove the stalk endings without breaking the stalk? The time adjust stalk ending is stuck on really tight and I dont want to break the stalk! The one in my car just slides off, this one on my spare wont budge!
  9. Thanks for that I'll see how it goes. Hopefully it works!
  10. Excellent, yes have the OBC on and I have the 4th stalk too :) so ill give it a go. I just need to know if eveything works Another quick question, I bought the cluster knowing it had a bad oil pressure gauge, so I bought another one to replace it so it could be complete. However in transit the oil pressure gauge the needle was pushed up to just below 1. In your opinion would it now be broken or can I gently just push it back to 0? I will test it but I need to chase up with the seller and im not sure when ill get the change to plug it in and actually test it. Thanks!
  11. Great, ill plug it in and see what I get when I start it up. Is there a inbuilt test procedure on it I can run with just the ignition on?
  12. Thanks Loren. So I might be able to get at least a decent idea if it works or not? Even if the proper values (such as the tacho will be off as the redline is 6,500 vs 7,000) not that I will actually be using the cluster/driving with it. I would just like to know if it all works :) Does the car itself mechanically behave strangely with the wrong cluster? Thanks
  13. Hello all, sorry to resurrect such an old thread! I have a MK2 996 Turbo cluster that I needed for parts (housing and stalks) can I plug it into my 2004 C2 manual to test its functionality? Am I risking damaging anything or overriding any settings etc in my C2? Thanks!
  14. Okayy! Found a solution: https://as.shop.bossard.com/au/en/8159/socket-products/hex-socket-head-cap-screws/bn-1206_hex-socket-head-cap-screws-with-special-low-head If anyone looses these screws those are the ones you can use. Only problem is the thread doesn't go all the way to the head but they can be driven flush and have enough thread to keep them tight and secure! Dont forget to use blue loctite as well :) Also the bar inside is: 150 x 6 x 20 with 4 M6 screw holes
  15. They are also on the MK1 GT3 wing too but again no listing in the PET for them!
  16. Appears they are on 996TT wings as well, whether they are the same im not sure Trawled through the 996 GT3 PET and didn't find anything
  17. Ah nooo I thought that might be the case :( I have seen them on the side of the Turbo and GT2 wings as well but I checked the PET and there is no listing. This wing is proving difficult because I have to find the wing brackets as well :(
  18. This might give you a better context of where the screws are. The number 5 screws screw into either side of the screws.
  19. Hi Loren, thanks for your help so far. Unfortunately they are hexagonal head screws for the hinges. The screws im after are flat and not listed in the PET as they are part of number 1 as a whole. Was hoping that you or someone would recognize them and they might have been used elsewhere or on another series. These are the screws that hold the aluminium internal bars in place so the number 5 screws can screw into the deck lid.
  20. There are 4 of these screws in total on the lower section of the deck lid 2 on the left 2 on the right. There are 2 aluminum bars on either inside that the screws hold onto. The bars are 150 x 20 x 6 and have 4 M6 holes in them - (2 for these screws and 2 for the hinge screws. I'm hoping that these screws were used on another series or somewhere else on the car so I can purchase them as they are missing from the deck lid I have purchased.
  21. Yes sorry so those screws are on either side of the lower part of the deck lid. Was making reference to the aerokit ii being a gt3 style wing. Wasn't sure if I should put it in the gt3 or Carrera section. There is one other screw on underside where the striker is too. Thanks!
  22. Sorry forgot to mention that! Car is an '04 C2 decklid is a Genuine mk2 aerokit cup decklid. Thanks!
  23. Hi all! Hoping someone can help me out with a part number on a screw. I am missing it from the side a deck lid. It is the one that holds the aluminium brackets inside the wing in place. GT3/AeroKit II wing. It is a flat head with a female hexagonal 3mm insert. The screw itself is 8mm from the head and not threaded all the way (not threaded neear the head) it is an M6 x 8. The head is aprox 9.7mm in diameter and 1.6mm thick Closest part number I have found is: 90011903502 but im not too sure as its from 74-98 The PET has not reference to it as it looks like they come with the lower deck lid section. I have attached some pics. Thanks in advance!
  24. Thanks for that is it a MK2 or MK1? Im after a MK2 (01'-'05) Cheers!
  25. Hi all, Does anyone have a set of GT3/AeroKit II wing brackets I could purchase? If not could anyone please provide me with some measurements so I could get a pair made? Pic is the bracket im referring to Thanks in advance!
