  2. Hi all can someone help me i have purchased a porsche Charge-o-mat trickle charger and it connects via the cigarette lighter socket and keeps the battery at optimum charge levels My question is can i use the power socket/cigarette socket in the boot/trunck or does it have to be the cigerette lighter socket in the front ???
  3. I have been chasing a similar problem on my 2006 Turbo s 93,000 mls and i have just had to have my timing chain replaced as it had stretched its a tough pill to swallow but now feels like a new car !
  4. Hi i have the 2006 Turbo S and the only thing that lets the car down in my opinion was the stereo looks dated no touch screen i wanted bluetooth connectivity for my phone and also my wifes and i also wanted usb and memeory card slots i have the Bose option and wanted to keep it that way so i opted after doing a lot of research for the Dynvin N6 it looks OEM and is the best upgrade i have done to my car it has everything you could want and more besides the sat nav is a vast impreovement also sounds much better than the old unit http://www.dynavin.com/products/n6_pc.php
  5. Here is my Uk based Turbo S Secondary Decat removed Sprint Booster Techart Lowering Module (not yet fitted) De Chromed
  6. Update regards my issues it seems it was not transmission problems it went in and was throwing up a fault showing "turbo boost limit exceeded" & "bank 1 cam shaft position" So the bank 1 cam sensor and N75 boost solenoid were replaced which did not clear the fault so both air boxes removed and boost pipes to get access to the turbo charges. Tested turbo wast gates both working correctly Next carried out leak test on pipe from solenoid to actuators and were found not to be holding vacuum the faulty sections of pipe replaced re fitted air box and boost pipes cleared all codes and re tested all faults are now gone and i have my beast back and it feels like a new car in another couple of months i will get the transmission fluids changed for preventative measures and hopefully i wont have any issues further down the line thank you everyone for your help and comments regarding these issues :notworthy:

  8. Thanks again i am not trying to guess whats wrong as i did not know there was anything wrong with it in the first instance having olny had the car a few months and its not a daily drive just pleasure for weekends etc i just thought that was how they were and thats it ? but i recently had a major service and when it came back it felt amazing but that only lasted a week or so and now it seems to be back as it was before so i am going to get my local porsche specialist to check it out can i just ask who or what are ZF ? Once again thank you
  9. Thank you for taking time out to give some some constructive advice as you have mentioned there are different reasons for these issues and i did not want to have my throttle boddies done if it could be resolved with something else as my issues are slightly different as i do not seem to have the violent downshifts mine seem to be more upshifts where i could be cornering in second gear and accelerate out of the corner and there is no power at all and then all of a sudden it violently accelerates and if you are not carefull you could shunt the car in front or lose control of the car ?
  10. Thank you for taking the time out to reply everyone seems so friendly
  11. Sorry i did not realise this contravened any rules still its nice to get a reply
  12. HI everyone i have a 2006 Cayenne Turbo S with 91000 miles on the clock although i do not have violent downshifts i do have slow upshifts but when the power does kick in it can be violent and sometimes catch you out if the roadconditions especially in winter are poor but its the slow upshifts and throttle delay i fing the most frustrating would this be the throttle bodies i have been reading about or just something i have to live with ? also as far as i am aware the tranny fluid has not been changed i am based in the uk so please be patient with me as i just want to get this sorted thank you
  13. Thank you for the replies no unfortunatley no uk specific cayenne forums due to the limited numbers that this car was produced in the problem i have is the sound system is all bose with a analogue tv tuner i dont want to lose the bose sound i just wanted to swap the analogue tuner for a digital one that gadget on the connects site looks interesting i will delve further thanks guys

  15. Hi everyone i have 2006 Turbo S and i want to upgrade the now obsolete Anolgue Tuner to a digital Tuner what do i need and is there anyone that has done this ? is it as simple as just swapping to tuner ? also i have found this ECU UNIT FOR A TV KOMBI TUNER removed from a cayenne would it be compatable PART NUMBER ON UNIT: 7L5919148A DONOR VEHICLE VIN: **WP0ZZZ99ZES160170** Regards paul
  16. Thanks but i am only really interested in replacing the secondary cats its a nice mod without getting to expensive and later on i can always replace the mufflers to increase the growl etc :drive:
  17. I'm not familiar with the Milltek bypass pipes. The most commonly used bypass pipes on this side of the big pond, Fabspeed's and Leistung's, are both designed to replace only the secondary catalytic converters and bolt right up to the remaining factory exhaust system. I have a set on my CTTS and believe it's the single best mod I've done. The primary catalysts are integral with the downpipes, and have the pre and post 02 sensor ports on them. Most guys leave these unmolested. A secondary bypass install does not require ECU remap, but obviously a remap will further enhance the performance of the vehicle. Personally, I would advise against doing an aftermarket exhaust unless you're just looking for more noise; they don't really offer much incremental performance. Thank you for your informative reply i know have another couple of options maybe :clapping:
  18. Can i just ask i have a 2006 turbo s and was wanting to do the secondary cat delete also and i hade earmarked the Milltek Sport Performance Secondary Cat Bypass De-Cat Exhaust Pipe but i have just noticed that it says that it Must be fitted with Milltek cat-back system and requires a Stage 2 ECU remap i was under the impression the cat delete pipes just replaced the original cats bolting to the original system and did not require a remap either is this just with the milltek pipes or typical of them all what pipes have you used and experienced thank you in advance . paul
