  1. My 1999 Boxter top is stuck down. It was working fine and I didn't hear anything unusual prior to and during it initially being lowered. The hand brake is pulled and the brake light is on. Also the soft top warning light is on The side windows drop down and the top motor makes a clicking noise and other lights dim so it is drawing current. I checked the B6 and D3 fuses and both are good. I pulled the relay as suggested in other posts and tapped it. I tried pulling the top up while someone operated the switch. All I got was the motor clicking and no movement. The motor clicked when the switch was depressed and when it was released and when pushed in either direction. I also tried pushing down. Same thing. It really wants to move but there is no rotation of the motor. Any ideas of what else to check?
