  1. Porsche is notorious for their conservative performance numbers when advertising their cars acceleration stats. That being said, they list the 997.1 Carrera 4/Targa's are going 0-60 in 5.4 with the tiptronic transmission. I've searched all over the net but cant seem to find a magazine which tested one of these cars with the tip trans. I know the car is way faster then 5.4 0-60 as I also own an infiniti G37s coupe which has the same peformance numbers claimed but my targa easily rips it by several car lengths to 60. Any idea how fast these cars actually are?
  2. Make sure the diagnostic includes a scan of any pending codes in the computer. That will show whether there is a problem about to manifest its self. Seeing as how the hesitation didn’t appear to be present prior to the IMS problem my guess would be your problem is electronic/sensor related in nature.
  3. Sorry to hear about your experience Eso. It sound like you're experiencing some hesitation which could be caused by a number of things. Is there a check engine light on or are any codes present?
  4. Just wondering if anyone has black centercaps on their polished 997 turbo wheel. Thinking about swapping out my polished silver caps for black caps with a colored crest and was curious what it might look like.
  5. I used the instructions but I could not locate the software version. I do know the map DVD is 10.2006. Does anyone know the fuse number I want to try to pull it.
  6. Does anyone know how many 997 Targa's were produced? I've looked all over but have only been able to find the total number of 997's produced but not by model.
  7. How can you determine what version of the software is installed? I recently bought the car so I'm not sure about the age of the software currently installed.
  8. My apologies for not being specific about the description of my car. Its a 2008 911 Targa 4.
  9. My navigation system cant seem to acquire sattelites consistently so I want to reboot the PCM system by removing the fuse. I looked on the drivers footwell and saw the fusebox cover and diagram but I cant seem to figure out which fuse needs to be pulled for the PCM. Do any of you know which fuse number it is? Thanks.
  10. That looks fantastic! Also love the LED daytime running lights. May I ask where you bought those?
  11. Hello, I just picked up a 2008 997 Targa 4 a few days ago and its my first Porsche. I noticed one of my fog lights is burned out so I thought my first mod would be to upgrade these. I've always been partial to yellow fog lights and was wondering if anyone has tried yellow bulbs in their 997? Curious to know if these looked good in this type of car.
