  1. Yup, the stops where still in there. At least it was an easy fix. Thanks.
  2. Just bought a 99 Cabrio with 207k on it. It runs great! Looks like its the original engine (M96/0166W12702). I could not tell you if its ever had any major work done or anything though. Pics below
  3. Hello, just purchased my first Porsche a couple days ago, a 99 Carrera Cabriolet. Been going through sorting stuff out and noticed my two front windows do not go down all the way. They stop almost exactly at the same spot on both sides, where the protrude 36mm at the highest point (pic below). The motors, up/down, seem to work quick and smooth, there are no strange noises or signs of binding. One thing I'm speculating is that the regulators where replaced but the "stop" was not removed??? (I've read that some replacement regulators have stops that need to be taken off for the windows to go all the way down). Could some other input be affecting the window position, like the convertible top computer? I just find it odd that they stop in exactly the same position on both sides. Any input would be appreciated before I start tearing into the doors. Thanks!
