My 2002 turbo tiptronic occasionally almost stalls when coming to a stop while it's warming up. It dips down to 500rpm or so, maybe even less, but it then bounces back up and keeps running. It stalled on me completely a couple times, but that stopped once i replaced the air filter. I've tried cleaning the MAF, and I *think* that it helps, but i can't convince myself that the MAF is the problem because it's rather intermittent. I tried capturing some durametric logs, here's the relevant part: RPM THR KPH MAF V AFR 801 4.3 16 1.5 0.92 0.89 778 4.3 15 1.46 0.93 0.9 732 4
Hi I have a question please I wonder if someone can answer? I have a 2004/05 4.5V8 Twin Turbo, Tiptronic. When driving normally, leaving the car in normal D (Drive) the car is quick to shift gears between 2000 and 3000rpm, going up the gears as quickly as it can, often leaving me in too high a gear and being very sluggish. I've recently noticed, if I turn off the PSM button, the car shifts alot later in the revs, between 3500 and 4500 and in doing so, always sits just on the turbo and feels so much more responsive. flick the PSM back on, and the car returns back to its sluggish ways
I have a 1999 US spec C2 Coupe with a Tiptronic. I bought the car 2 years ago with 60k miles on it, and recently turned 103k miles. I've had to fix the various oddities of this model, but as of yet i have no oil leaks and the car has run great until today. While crusing on the interstate I felt a "thud" from the rear of the car, and the engine lost power. I was able to coast down an exit ramp and onto a side road where the AAA flatbed would soon pick me up. When I turned the key I could hear the starter motor running (fast) but there was no apparent engagement with the flywheel. There
Hello! I own a MY2002 996TT w/ a tiptronic transmission (produced by Mercedes as I hear). I bought the car recently and only driven it around 3K miles this season. Mileage is about 45K. The car was running fine w/o problems whatsoever. Recently, after a long aggressive drive (around 5-6 hrs on a weekend) I was parking the car, I put it in P and left for a few seconds w/ engine running and when I returned to the car, I put in D and it would not engage. The car did not move as though it was in neutral. The dash read "2nd gear" and the engine revved up a bit like usual to compensate f
