2000 986 Tiptronic, nearly 99k miles. I am getting an annoying popping/cracking sound coming from the left rear. While driving it sounds like it is high in the suspension, possibly related to the shock absorber, shock absorber mount, or spring. I only hear the noise at low speeds - going over speed bumps or backing out of my driveway in the morning. I know it is difficult to pinpoint what the issue could be by just my description, so I am hoping that someone else has heard this noise and it is obvious to someone who has experienced it before. It could be as simple as a bad shock/strut, bu
I've got a 2001 Boxster (76k miles) with the OEM M030 suspension. It's great for autocross but too stiff for an everyday-car (at least for me). Anybody have standard shocks they would like to swap or sell? I do plan to keep the M030 sway bars and perhaps springs. The suspension is in good shape, just stiff.
Hi guys, I've come across a nice deal on a turbo suspension set - does anyone have actual spring rate differences between turbo and c4s spring and dampening rates? I assumed the rear springs will be unusable, since they'll sit higher on the lighter c4s... but the rest should be game.
Hi all I need to replace the rear shocks on my 996 C4 Cab year 2000. I have mistakenly ordered the Bilstein B4 shocks which are intended for cars with uprated M030 suspension. I'm pretty sure my car has standard suspension as the old shocks had a brown circular sticker. The Bilsteins are about 15mm shorter than the old shocks. I need to get the car back on the road so I'm considering just fitting the new shocks with the standard old springs. Will this cause me big problems? Appreciate any thoughts on this. Thanks Andy
