Noisy Starter '97 Boxster

Recommended Posts

Have a '97 Boxster I bought new. It now has 62k miles. Recently the starter has been making noise. It sounds like it is not disengaging as quickly as it should when the engine starts. It doesn't happen all the time, probably 1 out of 2 starts. Anybody replace their starter? I bought a used starter from a junkyard but I have heard it is a bear to get to. Any experience out there? Mark near Chicago.

if its the metalic sound when the car start then its normal.if its something else then you might have a problem with the starter.

I don't know if I helped at all but all I know is that all boxster model make weried sound when its start(sometimes) and its been coverd in many posts.
