Hi all...

I have just picked up a pair of geninue iluminated sil trims from a wreck. I have looked at the relevent TSB & it advises removing the door trim & doing loads of wiring....

Therefore if I may be so bold....

Has anyone retro fitted these themselves?

Do you really have to remove the door trim or can you just splice into the footwell power / switching?

Can you print out the TSB pdf? My Apple mac refuses to do so.

For reference it is a 2005 Cayenne S UK model.

Many thanks in advance.

Didn't feel sure enough to take the door trim off without a book of words so I have spliced into the footwell lights. Not as bright as it should be as it's only 9v but good enough without trashing the door.

Looking at this thread it looks like I am talking to myself.... but just trying to help someone in the future.
