XM Install in 2003 Boxster S

Recommended Posts

I just bought an XM SkiFi receiver and want to install the car kit in my 2003 Boxster S. Does anyone have an useful pointers? I don't even know how to remove the CDR23 to figure out what kind of extra inputs are available (I don't have the CD changer). Thanks.

Don't use the FM Modulator! From the Becker Board at www.beckerautosound.com:

"All you need for the CDR220 or CDR23, is the Phone mute/Aux audio-in/Tel audio-in/Removal keys in one kit, part # 1319.116-276 ($16.40)

To order please call our parts department at (888) 423-3537 x1209..."

The Becker plug for the CD changer IS an input. The harness I described above converts it to an AUX input suitable for IPOD, XM, MP3, etc. You just can't have use of the changer. Call the number for more info.
