996 552 025 01 ETQ is for the the black leather surround that goes over the instruments. It will fit all cars to MY02 (old gauges). If you want one for the newer gauge set then it ends in 02 ETQ.

You had a picture of a 996 black dash cap with a red surround. Was the dash cap not leather?

Loren has the part numbers. With a 996 you get the surround and the cap together for some reason. On a Boxster you can order them as separate parts.

My current cap is vinyl or something... What year did the have vinyl caps? Anyway, it is not thrilling to say the least. :)

I'm looking for a Boxster red leather 996 cap and surround, and Loren will not give me his. Boxster red is not common on a 996. Let me know if you see a Boxster red unit and I will let you know if I see a black leather unit.
