Car always take 3-4 tries to start up

Recommended Posts

My car have always started immediately but now it always take 3-4 tries before it starts properly, when the car is cold it start at once but as soon as the car is warm and I turn it of and start it between 10mins-2h afterwards when the car is still quite hot it is reaqlly hard to start.

it is almost the same procedure everytime, first try it doenst start at all, second time it starts up and run close to 1000rpm for 1/4sec and then dies and 3rd time it runs up toward 1200RPM and then goes down to 750-800RPM after 1sec or so and is ready to drive away. (it always run great as soon as it started up properly)

I looked a little at OBD values and Lambda and Maf values seems fine

Cat = 1.000-1.001 on both side, they are very similar. (the datafields on the bottom of page)

MAF: 5mg/s on Idling

Longtime fueltrim 1_3: 3.9

Longtime fueltrim 2_4: 1.6

And I see that the shorttime is almost as much negative on 2_4 side that it is positive on 1_3 side so it differs quite alot (values of +4.7 and -4.7 at idle)

Could this have anything to do with the problem to start the car?

I dont have any fault codes except for P0442 wich is microleak from tank or something like that which I also had beore the car started to be hard to start.

If anyone have had a similar problem or have an idea of how to fix it, please dont hesitate to answer :)
