Cold air intake? Rear deck boot?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Just bought a 1999 966 C2, love the forum and have a couple of newby questions.

What's the concensus re:cold air intake vs. K&N Filtercharger?

I assume the rubber boot around the rear deck fin that raises and lowers should be intact. Mine has a split in it aft of the electric cooling fan. (the car lived in the desert) Is it a DIY R&R?

Thanks,

John

Mine has a split also. I haven't found a replacement yet and hate to go the the dealer for something I can probably do myself.

Hello My name is Joe, I as well have a 996---c4... Im interested in the parts, but Im not 100 percent on what parts you have... I specifically need the piston/hydraulic that raises and lowers the spoiler on the left side (drivers)...

Is this component among what you have?? Might you have a photograph?

Thanks in advance--Josef from renntech.org ( ialso sent you private mail)

If you are interested, I have the whole rear retractable spoiler assembly in great shape.

Would be willing to let you have it for $50 + shipping cost.

I replaced it with a fixed wing spoiler.
