Server Lease Renewal/Software Licenses

The cluster for a 1997-2000 is different than 2001-2004, what I call the old and new style. You can't even plug in the wrong style cluster as the 3 connectors on the back are physically different. The wiring harness is also different.

The was a guy on another board who claimed he knew someone who know someone who did this swap. I don't believe it as that would be quite a job.

so if you wanted to do it you would have to replace the whole loom do you know wether the boxster loom is all one thing or does it come in segments i am planning on upgrading to tiptronic as i have picked up the box cheap and when i replace the loom im considering replacing it with a 2003 one as there is one available locally
