Hey all, Im looking for a cayenne for my mom. I went to aristocrat yesterday to look while I was on my way to work and saw a dark olive green metallic base model for $48,000. Its a new 06 and has the preffered package and some other little odds and ends. It was stickered at 57 but Im thinking its just been on the lot a while and they want to sell it. (They also had a new cayman with the turbo wheels on it, looked sooooo good. And an 03 911 turbo for 73,000 with like 20,000 miles). Do you think we should get it or keep looking? She wants new but im trying to talk her into used, as in a 04. They just happen to have an 04 cayenne on the lot too... a turbo for 60K. I drove both the turbo and the base, while the turbo was fun fun fun, the base should be fine with my mom, im still trying to talk her into the turbo though. I need any advice that you owners of Cayennes can give me, thanks.

I had a 2004 Cayenne S and I now have a 2006 Turbo. The Cayenne S was plenty fast. Although I had a ton of electrical systems issues. The reliability rating on the first year model was not very good and my experience supports that. I like the Turbo for the full leather and other appointments. Of course the Turbo's pick-up is nothing to complain about either.

  • 2 weeks later...

We bought it today. 48,000 and they paid off the caddiliac. Plus I got some leather Porsche driving gloves and my mom got a tshirt, lol. The invoice price was 50,000 so I guess the dealership lost money on that deal (stickered at 57). But im not so sure, they are tricky like that. Will take some pics. Bought it with 140 miles.
