I noticed a few drops of oil or some oily liquid leaking to the garage after certain runs around town (not all times though) after only 1500 miles. This probably isn't a good thing. It is on the left side of the car and looks to come from above the left header side. Any ideas? Is it Oil or the cosmoline?

I tried taking some pics from the ground (attached) and think I see some oil collecting up. I cleaned up the oil to see if it would re-accumulate there - seems like two small area as shown on the pictures.

Any idea what part this is (RMS)?

Is it worth fixing now or waiting to see if it gets worse?

Update: I have an appointment later this week with the dealer.

Thanks!

Hi,

I like the guy who asked if you spilled any oil when you filled it up. This

is so small that you do not have much to worry about. I think you

should wait till it gets worse before you take it to the dealer. Clean it

and watch your garage floor.

Hi

Is this really oil? It looks like engine protector too my, if you have an oil leak on the cam covers, it drip upon the exh.collector before contacting the floor. The exhaust collector looks verry clean too my.

UPDATE: Took it to the dealer, they indicated that the cam cover wasn't properly tightened. Resealed it and it shouldn't leak. Hopefully, this is it.

On another note, while it was at the dealer, I had them throw on the PSE without the switch (always on) and love it. Can't imagine having a 911 without it now. Well worth the $.

Dealer experience was very good too.

Gleek48, I am very glad your car is fixed! Would you please tell me how much the PSE was for your car? Parts and then the labor amount. This would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My local Pcar dealer had a PCA special in march - 25% off labor and 15% off parts. I got the exhaust and pse tips installed for ~2075 + tax. This was without the switch. To add the switch would be approx. another $500

Thanks for the info, Gleek, that's a great deal.
