Electrical problem

Recommended Posts

Bit of a problem with my 2002 C4 cab. Turn the key, all dash lights light up, turn to start engine and just get a series of clicks but no turn over. The roll over protection warning comes on (hard top on at present). I`m leaving on trickle charge tonight incase battery is flat but any idaes would be welcome.

cheers

mark

rapid fire of clicks at start up is for sure a sign of a flat battery, i had the same last week and a nights trickle charge sorted it, if no lights where left on and it drained flat you should keep an eye on your alternator as it might not be charging the battery,

If your battery is 4 year old (or older) then it likely needs replaced. Many auto parts stores will load test and specific gravity test your battery for free.

If you had other electrical problems I would look at the ignition switch - but the battery is the beat place to start.
