Hi Guys,

Just joined Renntech, excellent site !!! just got my first Porsche 944 UK European spec 2.5 Lux...lots of smiles.

Can anyone help with the location of the Central Locking Control Unit ? ..I've stripped the doors (no factory pwr locks fitted)...so just the loom in the doors...trying to find the ECU end to use the existing wiring !!

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks

Where is the control unit for the door lock system located?

I am suspecting my unit is bad as i can only lock the doors with the console switch, they will open only manually or with they key.

If both doors only open with the key, it is the control unit, if one power lock works and the other doesn't with the key, it is a connecting rod in teh door not working under power, or a bad actuator, they are available from both pelicanparts.com and paragon-products.com for around 3.00, I believe the actuators are available too, take a look....
