Caliper and brake disc size questions.

Bruno

Recommended Posts

Hello i planning to upgrade my rear brakes on my Audi Rs2.

I planning to use calipters 996.352.425.60.

My car have now 951.352.041.01S 299X24mm as rear brake standard.

Will brake disc 996.352.405.00 fit on my car?

What is the size of this disc?

Is possible to get drawings of this disc?Where?

Hi Bruno.... I am of limited help here. We never had the Audi RS2 here in the states. I can only tell you the the caliper and rotor you propose using work together on the rear of the 996 C4S from 2002 =>. I can't help with the dimensions nor the offset necessary for the RS2. I do know that the 996 uses a different bolt circle size from all the Audis that I've seen in the US.....so, the Porsche rotor would not even fit the Audi bolt circle. All the Porsche to Audi brake adaptations that I've seen use a two piece rotor with a custom center hat with the Audi bolt circle and offset.

Im sorry i did not tell that the Audi Rs2 have porsche brakes as standard.

Standard front brakes is from porsche 968 club sport.304X32mm

Rear brakes is 944 turbo.299X24mm

Big reds in front and rear.

I upgrade my front brakes newly with calipter 996.351.425-996.351.426 and disc 965.351.045.00-965.351.046.00.

All was bolt on.

Here is a little hstory.

Hi Bruno...... Now I know what you are talking about...but, still unable to answer your original question. You are a lucky guy to have an Ur RS2! I see now that Porsche must have supplied the hubs (with their bolt circle) along with the Porsche badged Brembo brakes. I used to own a 1991 Audi 200 20V TQ...and, yes that motor is strong and powerful....and with Porsche's upgrades, it must be a hoot to drive.
