I saw the old thread, and was hoping someone out there could still help me out.

Same o' story: I disconnected the battery on a recently bought pre-owned 996 to do horn button repair...and radio-silence since.

I have a "CDR 22" (also listed as "CR 22" on the manual)... Do I follow the same as the CDR220 or is this a different model?

Yes - some RoW cars got CDR-22 which is pretty much the same as CDR-220.

      when i Check with PIWIS there is a Site with Radio Code which is now 0000. 
      i Could change But have no Code.

      My CR-220 plays the FM & AM & Cassette, doesn't play the 6 Pack CDs. Faceplate does not display, all presets work, and equalizer.  Is the problem in the face plate or radio?  Will getting another faceplate work with this radio?  Will it change the radio code.
