Sport Steering Wheel / Removal of Alumalook Plates

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I looked through the parts cataloge and there is nothing

for steering wheel parts. I would guess that once the air

bag is removed, then you undo the steering wheel nut

and the whole wheel cones off as one unit. Is there

a wheel that you like that you want to replace with your

existing one?

Yes, I bought the optional Thicker Sport Wheel but it came with tip switches. I need info on how to remove those and reinstall mine. I removed on screw but something else is holding it in :-(

Hi,

I had a tip switch replaced. Some how, it

broke and would wobble on the wheel. I had

it repaired under warranty. Because it was done under warranty,

they would not give me the broken switch. I think

the tip switche just pops out but I am not sure. You

might want to call the parts dealer and ask them.

dont know if you figured this out yet, but i remember just lifting on them and they pull off fairly easily. of course with the airbag off.

i am not sure if they come off as easily with the airbag on.
