Last week I traded my '02 Boxster for an '02 911 Carrera. Sadly, I didn't test the drink holders in the 911 before I bought it. My first trip to Starbuck's was disappointing.

As you can see in the picture, the venti drink leans badly in the drink holder. When I'm alone, it's not an issue because I can use the outer drink ring. When my wife is with me, it's an issue.

Has anyone solved this problem? Have the holders improved since '02 such that I could just buy a new unit and swap it out?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Larrytrk - Great idea! I'll try the Dunkin Donuts cup first.

Orient - I guess I wasn't clear. When I'm alone in the car, I do use the outer ring and it works fine. The problem is when my wife is with me, and we both have a drink. Then one of us needs to use the inner ring, which is too big.

Kbull88 - If the Dunkin Donuts cup doesn't work, I'll give this a try.

Thanks again for the quick ideas.
