Entering radio code for 996

Recommended Posts

Have the code and entered it (after new battery install - Duralast 48-DL, fyi), but got the ol' WAIT message.

Question: if previous owner changed/reprogrammed the code, am I hosed?

Or should the original code (in factory manual) always work/unlock the radio? Finally, any help/ideas on what to do since it doesn't appear to unlock mine.

Thanks

We need to know your model and model of your car - plus the radio model (CR-210, CDR-220, CDR-23, etc.) to help...

CDR-210 in a 1999 996, BE 2282. I found 'another' radio card in my docs - different serial number. Will try that code if I can ever get out of the 'WAIT' loop. If true that car must be on to time-down, I need to drive it. I don't have a timer on my display, just the WAIT message. (My isn't TT, it's a 996 Carrera.)
