Turn signal intermittent failure

Recommended Posts

I have a 03 996 whose front left turn signal sometimes doesn't operate. When I first got the car this summer the bulb was relpaced to pass inspection. It's weird that most of the time it will work but sometimes it doesn't. Any ideas as to the cause?

I have the same problem as well on 03 C4S.   I have swapped the bulb sockets between left and right and the problem is still on the left side, not the socket.   Flashers work except front left.   All other lights work fine.   It was intermitant for a while but now pretty soild fail.   Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with my 996TT after swapping bulbs. Turned out I broke the lamp housing when fitting the socket. The socket went back into the bayonet like mount but wasn't making good contact. Ended up replacing the housing with a used one.
