At lease you guys still have some sort of map to follow. The 04 CS i bought a few months ago didn't even have the CD for the NAV system which made it totally useless. Apperently the previous owner lost it somehow. Anybody would like to give me a copy of the east coast CD then that would be awesome. Thanks!

Has anyone been able to remove the cd based system and install a DVd based system from an 06? What would be involved in this? I may consider upgrading to a Pioneer AVIC unit.

About $2700 to $4000 depending on your current setup, if done by the dealership.

I've got a 2005 DVD (Europe), what do you want to know?

I've also contacted Navteq about updates; same bull**** answer, no updates available, contact your porsche dealer, and at my porsche dealer can't even tell me if it's worth upgrading (number of streets/cities/POI's added etc)

How are you progressing with the project?

i have updates on my 05 cayenne PCM2

One of the guys on the PCGB forum has been told that an update for PCM2.0 (Europe) with 2008 map data has just been released. I had told by Porsche Reading that it was due at the end of July, but apparently it was released early. £349+VAT, we are told. As soon as I get the part number or any more info I'll post it.

Just got an email from OPC Reading to say that the PCM2.0 2008 navigation CDs for Europe are now available. The part number is 000.044.901.20 and it is £349.56 +VAT for the 'retrofit kit'.

If they have done it for Europe, perhaps it is in the pipeline for the US. I would be surprised if it isn't, as it's a big market.

You boys have any luck with this? I've bought a Benz ML550 and I need to do a hybrid for another reason : Getting a disk that will only work in a US nav unit to have some non US maps. My US map DVD had the same BAS files detailed above.

I'm gong to be buying some Nav DVDs with BAS Navteq file extensions (Honda & Chrysler). Surprised there is no info on the net regarding the structure of these.......

Hello Everyone, and thanks in advance for help. I just got a 04CS and no disk. I was wondering if anyone can upload a copy of the CD ISO image or anything I could download and burn on a regular CD and use it for California?

Absolutely no.
