Wheels/Tire Fitment - '04 C4S to '99 996

Recommended Posts

Per my earlier posting (New Guy Questions), the Kinesis/Yoko wheel/tire combo that I was hoping fit my '99 996 does not fit. It's probably more the issue of too wide a tire (245 fronts, 315 rears) rather than the rims (9" and 11").

I am looking at a set of '04 C4S wheels, fronts 8x18 et 50 / rears 11x18 et 45 with front tires 225/40/18 - rear tires 295/30/18. According to my "Owner's Manual," the stock size and offset for my '99 is 7.5x18 et 50 / 10x18 et 65. The fronts look OK, but note that the rear offset of the C4S wheel is 45mm while the stock one is 65 mm.

Will the rears fit?

Yes, the 11Jx18 ET45 rims will fit but to be safe I would go for the standard 285/30 x 18 tires on the rims due to the ET45 and the back fender arche.

Note: it also depends on the tire Brands, Michelin 285/30 fits perfect, might getting some problem with PZero Rosso 285/30, cause they have seemly wide roll-area, meassured to 310mm.
