Expanded lineup, new features, greater choice of options add more spice and value

Atlanta, June 16, 2008 – Today, Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) announced prices of the 2009 Cayenne models, which will go on sale in the United States on July 14, 2008. The new model year will see the arrival of a new top-of-the-line Porsche SUV, the Cayenne Turbo S, which will expand Porsche’s best-selling model line to five different Cayenne models. New features, including advanced audio and communication systems, more powerful brakes on the Turbo models, extended service intervals and a multitude of equipment options currently unavailable for most models, make next year’s Cayenne range more attractive than ever. Compared with the current model year, prices for MY09 have been increased between 2.3 and 4.3 percent. On-sale date of the Turbo S is August 8.

Porsche, like other manufacturers that produce their cars in Europe has become increasingly impacted by the continued demise of the U.S. dollar versus the Euro. “Although our sports cars and Cayenne SUV wear their quality label ‘Made in Germany’ with pride we find ourselves getting severely punished by declining margins for serving our customers in the United States,” noted Detlev von Platen, President and CEO of PCNA. “Despite our prudent hedging strategy over the past few years we were forced to reassess our traditionally conservative pricing policy. Still, because we have kept price adjustments to a minimum, the newest edition of our highly successful Cayenne range offers not only an even greater variety, but also further enhanced value to our customers making it the premier choice within the high-end SUV segment.”

The new Porsche Communication System PCM 3.0, currently introduced in the new-generation 911 sports cars, will also be available in all 2009 Cayenne models. PCM 3.0 features a touchscreen and provides expanded capacities, ease of operation and the latest in-car technologies such as a iPod® port, hard disk drive navigation, the addition of XM NavTraffic to XM radio, Bluetooth® connectivity, USB port and auxiliary jack. PCM 3.0 is standard on the Cayenne Turbo and Turbo S.

As a result of larger disc brakes the MY09 Cayenne Turbo will have standard 19“ Cayenne Design wheels. As a first in the SUV segment, all V8 powered Cayennes will be available with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, PCCB, for maximum deceleration and excellent fading resistance.

Regardless of their individual model, Cayenne customers will have even greater choices to personalize their car. The sport seats in Alcantara and the padded steering wheel of the Cayenne GTS are now available for all models as are exterior colors GTS Red, Nordic Gold and a new Macadamia Metallic.

For the first five months in 2008, Cayenne sales in the United States have been up 12.4 percent over the same period of last year.
