Hi everybody:

I installed new aftermarket headers, cats and mufflers on my 1999 C4. Everything went well except that I cannot get the connection between muffler and cats to seal. I reused the porsche sleeves (as instructed) and when it did not work I bought a new set but still no luck (I thought I had crimped them during removal or reinstall but have the same problem on the replacements). Has anyone had this problem? The shop manual says nothing other than tighten. Has anyone used a sealant or tape under the sleeve to fix this problem?

Thanks in advance to all who respond.
