Hey. where's my horn? (not a movie title)

Recommended Posts

my TT came from factory with a blown horn...the horns are all the way under the front bumper in fron of the car (bad place IMO since they can get water damage easily)

dealer replaced under warranty and it only took like 20 minutes...

Really??? They did mine without removing my bumper....it was tight but they did it :D

Front openings on a TT bumper are MUCH larger than a Carrera or GT3 bumper. Definitely can't be done on a Boxster or Carrera without removing the bumper -- except by skilled micro-surgeon - and they charge too much

Thanks guys.  Will schedule it in for service, and maybe they'll fix the screwy spooked headunit/Becker at the same time.

The sound system in my car has been acting crazy for a while--CD 1 button doesn't work properly, the sound settings (bass/treble, etc.) reset themselves to 0, system shuts itself off. Had the dealer look at it while the car was in for the RMS leak, and a new TSB came out last week that referred to problems with the CDR23 and PCMII, and instructing dealer to replace the head unit, amp & CD changer in any cars with problems. Unfortunately, the cd changer was not in stock in the US so they had to order it from Germany so I'll have to bring the car back this week.
