Sport Mode on/off at speed

Would there be any problem with switching the Sport Mode on and off at speed in a manual trannied '05 C2S? I understand from the manual, that the increased throttle response feature doesn't occur till the pedal is either floored or released completely, so I assume it's OK, though I've just been leaving it on of late, because it's lots more fun.
