Garage door opener

Recommended Posts

I just picked up a 2002 996 C2 which so far has been an amazing car! Im confused about the garage door opener.. or what I believe is the garage door opener. Its a module mounted behind the sunroof switch with 3 buttons and a LED. I tried to hold down the buttons in various patterns along with my garage door opener in hopes of programming it... but so far nothing has worked. Can anyone shed some light on this? On my BMWs, Ive always held the outside 2 buttons till the LED blinked, then pressed the one i want to program along with the original remote next to it to pair.

Thanks!

This is not something that came with your car, but sounds interesting. Sounds like the previous owner bought a Homelink module and managed to install it in the overhead console. Could you post a photo? I'm sure those on this forum would be interested.
