own my first porsche!

Just bought my first Porsche! A 2002 911 C4 Cabriolet Silver with Black interior and hard top. I am so pumped.

Where are some good parts suppliers to internet shop for parts and upgrades? Want to put on a cold air kit and headers.

Any other suggestions on "tweaks", I have strong mechanical skills so can handle a fair amount of stuff.

Anyone know of a good hard top lift/storage system for storing the hardtop from the ceiling of the garage?

Life long dream fulfilled.

:welcome:

• Here is a link to a hardtop lift: http://www.hoistlifts.com/porsche.html

• In the forums section look for 996 series > 996 DIY and mods, lots of ideas there, like the 'spoiler switch DIY', the 'blinking side marker DIY', the 'daytime running lights' DIY, etc.

• Washing/polishing suggestions here: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...c=24205&hl=

• Eric at http://www.bumperplugs.com/BPindex.html has lots of goodies to dress up your new Porsche™, I have bought from him a new Silver centre console, a new ignition switch 'rosette' and painted bumperettes ( I think yours are already painted) His work is flawless.

• The front radiators need to be cleaned periodically, as well as the water drains, there are instructions for both in this website.

Congrats again on your Porsche™

Alex

Congratiolations!

I got mine two years ago and it's been the best thing I've ever bought.

I usually buy my original parts at either Sunset Imports or Pelican Parts.

Interior and exterior accessories I buy from Ebay.

I have aluminum gauge rings and pedals, led 3rd brake lights and side markers.

I also got a new hood and wheel crest.

Good luck with your new car.
