Replaced my alternator, but extra part?

Hello. I had an alternator fail on my 01 996. Thank goodness I was blocks from home. I bought a rebuilt Bosch, and new serp belt, and was amazed at the eaze of install. It took about 1/2 hour to complete.

In any event, after I finished, I found this under my engine compartment. Anyone know what it is and/or where it goes?

Those go at the bottom of your air cleaner hosing to hold it in place.
