Removeable Racing Harnesses for 996

Recommended Posts

I've got a 99 996 Cab. Can anyone suggest a good racing harness solution that I could easily take in and out of the car? If I want to participate in DE events with my top down, I have to have a harness for both myself and my passenger.

I saw that Pelican Parts has some kind of Rennline brackets available. Anyone have photos of them bolted in?

Ideally I'd like to be able to install the harnesses on a Friday night and be able to uninstall them Sunday night after the track events.

Here is the custom made quick connect harness bar that I had on my car before I installed the Roll Bar. This is made of 316 stainless, very strong. I can take it in and out in a few minutes. The end adaptor has S.S. bushing which allows seat beat to swivel.

Are you signed up for the next DE at TWS next week?

No, I'm trying to squeeze in a few ASA sailing certification classes down in Clear Lake before the weather gets too cold. Then it's back to all Porsche. Hopefully before the end of the year I'll get to bring both the 996 and the Shelby project out for an event.

PCA is running at TWS Dec. 5-6. Looking forward to seeing you there.
