Maybe I'm the dipstick: How much oil is represented by the difference between the low line and the full line on the dipstick?

I'm sorry if this has been answered. I couldn't seem to turn it up in a search.

Thanks,

Bruce.

You could download the OM if you were a contributing member here; food for thought.

If only I had a silver platter - I'd offer it to your liking. Come on - its not like this info is buried in some random cryptic TSB from 1999.

Come on guys, give him a break - this isn't Rennlist or 6Speed!

The answer to your question is 1.25 litres / 1.33 quarts.

There were some changes I think in the capacity between Mk1 and Mk2, but here at least is the Mk2 OM page.

Thank you for the responses. I don't have the manual with me today, and Renntech seemed like the best immediate alternative. I'd be happy to return the favour any time.

Bruce P: MOST of us out here are helpful and try to give good solid answers to your questions. Sorry for the FEW who seem not to be. I guess it would be inconceivable that someone out there may not have his original manual or may not have it handy. It does happen.

May I remind all of one of the board rules here "If you feel the need to flame other individuals, companies or message boards then your participation will not be welcome here."
