How old is the battery?

Have you load tested the battery and checked the specific gravity?

loren battery is from costco just a few months old

i just tried it again when i push the key in hard in to the ignition and turn it, it fires up.

No, you shouldn't. You can choose to replace just the electrical switch (95% of the time the only problem) or the whole key/lock mechanism.

The key/lock mechanism is the long term fix - but it cost about $150 just for the parts.

ok i will do the key/lock mechanism

i can do it right not a dealer deal ?? no computer reset need ??

and do u know the part number ??

thanks

just went over 160,000 miles and the ignition works fine now. i almost took it apart to replace the ignition. but as i was taking the left vent off, the wheel locked and i wiggled the wheel while it was locked and heard a click. and i retired to start the car and started fine. put the vent back together and has been working fine since.

lets see how long it will last.

on another note :(
