Chances are you have a failed coil pack or two. It's recommended to replace all the coil packs and spark plugs with the updated units. If the check engine light is flashing do not operate the vehicle. Clear all codes after you've corrected the problems and monitor for any returning faults.

Please include vehicle year, engine size and world market in your posts. Click on the link near the top of each page "Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost" for an excellent parts/knowledgeable staff resource.

  • 3 weeks later...

I have a 2005 Cayenne S - I got the check engine light saying I had misfire at three cylinders. It still ran smooth 99% of the time, until I finally changed the spark plugs today. I guess I should have searched thi forum before because I did not change the coils - are they supposed to be changed with the plugs? How do I reset the check engine light?
