993 stereo upgrade

I am a new member and very impressed with the level of knowledge and contributions to help people enjoy their Porsches to the full. In the next two weeks I will take delivery of my own 1995 Porsche 911 type 993 - I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am!

One area where I would really appreciate some input from members is on the subject of upgrading the stereo system - whilst I cannot get enough of the distinctive engine sound I also enjoy my music and the original system has been replaced by a cheap, alternative single CD player, and the sound is awful.

So if anybody has some advice or recommendations on installing a music system for an early 993, I would be grateful, after all, I need a soundtrack to listen to whilst driving this wonderful car!

Contact Rod Birch at http://www.caraudioinnovations.com/. Great business and great guy. Rod consulted with me on a complete upgrade, shipped very high quality components as promised in short order and answered all of my questions during my installation. I did the install myself and the finished system is awesome. With the top down I can listen to the glorious 6 cylinder behind me or tune into a wealth of music in every format imaginable - all with awesome, full rich sound. I recommend Rod and his company - the best experience I've ever had with after market audio.
