Does anyone know what color paint is used on the more or less silver color rear logo "Carrera 4S" on a 997.2 Artic Silver car ?

It is a sort of matte finish, perhaps titainium in color, similar or the same as the front grill vent vanes.

TIA

Porsche calls it "mat chrome" on the C4S.

On a C4 and Carrera (and Targa) they use "lacquered titanium"

Loren,

Thanks! Any idea where I could get a close match on a can of spray paint to paint a license plate frame? I don't want to invest in a perfect match body shop paint job.

Great forum for technical information.

Tom

Porsche does not sell trim paint so I would just take it to body/paint shop and ask them what they would use.

The bad news is you might have to buy enough to paint a few hundred.

or

Try Eric at BumperPlugs.com - his folks can match most Porsche colors once he has a sample.

my MPD sold me trim paint. however it is just the logo you can buy replacments on line in any colour very easily. there are not too expensive

Thanks for the responses.

I am fine with the color of the logo. I found a can of spray paint in a matte silver at AutoZone and painted my license plate frame, and it is a very close match to the logo. I have always used a simple plate frame, but neither the gloss black or chrome frames available looked right on the back of the 997.2 C4S.

So I solved my issue as I trim out my new street car by painting an old frame and screw covers to match the logo color.

My GT3 has the overpriced "paint logo to match" option, which I have never really cared for. But it came with the pre-owned car.
