Some issues on an '03 S (ABS and interior light)

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I just picked up an '03 CS recently. Last week while driving back home I got a low coolant light and the coolant pipe burst, spraying coolant all over the road. I stopped the car on the side of the road to see what was going on. I decided to drive home (only a few blocks away) and I realized when cranking up the engine again the "ABS failure light workshop" came on ( I do not think coolant has something to do with ABS). However, it never stayed on nor gave any codes. After towing the car to the dealer the next day and having the coolant pipe replaced, I had the dealer diagnose the problem. I started the car a few times to show them the ABS light that comes on and goes away right away to have them see, but they said they couldn't do anything because it doesn't give any faults. I also happen to test the brakes and the ABS is still working. My pads are still okay and my brake fluid level is normal. I already tried replacing a new battery, but it still happens once every few starts. Does anyone know what is causing this to happen?

So number 1, "ABS failure workshop" light that appears once in a while for a split second and never stays on.

Also, while driving at night, I realized that the whole driver door panel lights (windows, door locks, side mirrors adjustment buttons) tend to blink sometimes. So last night while I was parking I stayed in the car and left the headlights on to see. The lights did blink; it went off maybe for a split second and came back on. I tend to have my stereo on as well. I am not sure if this has something to do with ground issues, but I'm pretty sure its only the lights because all of the buttons are working fine.

Number 2, driver door panel 'light blink'.

Anyone with inputs on these issues please help me. I have a service due pretty soon, so I should have it checked out right away.

Thank you all in advanced.

Frank C.
