I had the old wet carpet symptom and so at the weekend took the wheel off and cleared out a load of black gunk from the exit valve - all good.

Removed the rear speakers and pulled out more crud that was in the trays.

However, on the near-side one of the short tubes that goes feeds the collection tray is not connected to anything at the top.

It's mighty tight in that space and I can't tell by feel or from looking at the diagrams previously posted where does the top of this tube connect to?

I guess that without the tube being attached the water won't even get into my nice clean collection trays down to the perfectly working valve and so keep the carpets wet!

Edited to add: Does no one know what the top of the drain tubes attahces to?
