Underground garaging

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.

This is my first post. I live in an apartment with underground parking in the winter and spend the summer months renovating my house in France. Whilst the car is parked over the summer months I disconnect the battery and cover the car with a tailored car cover. However I have just had my Porsche tyre valve caps - the secure ones- stolen and the same happened with my previous BMW Z3 coupe.

My question is: can someone suggest a simple security device to deter people from tampering with the car. I am getting more concerned as I am about to add some custom parts eg painted wheels, interior kit, rear spolier, and would not like these to go the same way or evn be damaged.

Help?

Other than putting 10,000 volts and about 400 amps on the car, I'd say your best bet is to put the car in a secure storage facility. Some will start the car and run it periodically. Others will provide AC power for a battery maintainer.

Alarm systems are pretty much ignored based on my observations.
