TPMS for hollow-spoke wheels?

Recommended Posts

I quite like the idea of fitting a tyre pressure monitoring system to my 996T, and some of the aftermarket systems look good and are reasonably priced. However, they seem to be for wheels that use rubber valves, rather than the metal-stem valves used on the hollow-spoke Turbo and Sport Techno wheels.

Has anyone fitted a system to their 996T?

I thought I would just finish this off by saying that I went for the Orange TPMS. I had to make a modification to the valve stems, but Orange supplied a fitting kit to fit the sensors to the valves. Here is the mod:

I just need to mount the display, and hardwire it in, but so far it all looks good.

Thanks to member Timf for his help in pointing me in the right direction.
