Extra things to consider during 60K service

Recommended Posts

2002 C2 Cab 59K

I saw a few posts a while back and am having a hard time finding them. The listed things to look at during a 60k service, I believe they were cam chain items, tensioner etc.

does any one know the posts or can someone point me to them?

Just looking for extra stuff to look at when i do my 60K.

Is there a top service called out? I live in Ventura and my top goes up and down quite a bit :)

Bill,

Thanks, saw those, a while back someone had posted additional "additional" items to look at, I think they involved the cam/camchain/valve train. The tensioners etc.

Try Doing some defensive maintenance, Here's what's being done and 60K mi gotchas that are not often found(?) for starters. Plus things like pulling the front bumper and cleaning out the radiators, checking for torn CV boots, etc. Search for the phrase "60K service" to find more. I had the transmission oil changed at my 60K mile service besides everything Porsche recommends. Clean the throttle body if you haven't already done so.
