Denison Gateway 500 Giving me FITS

Recommended Posts

(Black 2005 C2S)

So a few feeks ago I left my lights on overnight and my battery went 100% dead. I charged it up and everything works perfectly EXCEPT the Gateway 500. At first it worked ok. Then it would work intermitently, and now it basically does now work at all.

The steps I've tried to remedy the situation are as follows but not really in the correct order

1- Reset ipod and reconnected

2- Reset the Gateway using a paperclip on the little hole in the mode selector module

3- Upgraded to the latest firmware up grade wich I had already done a few months ago but thought I'd try anyway.

Basically I turn it on and the screen says AUX and then below that begins a series of digits counting upwards.

I can't get the music to play at all. I've tried various ipods. Nothing seems to want to make it work !

Anyone have a similar experience or some advice ?

Perhaps your radio has "forgotten" that it has an AUX, (an external CD player or Ipod gateway) attached....you may need a PWIS or a Durametric with version 6 software, to get it reset?

Took it to the install place and the did a hard reset and now it's good as new. I could have done it on my own but they originally mounted it behind the PCM and I can't get to it without removing the PCM, which I didn't want to do.
