Does Porsche Offer Extended Warranty Programs?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if Porsche North America offers a factory extended warranty for the 997?

A local Porsche dealer tells me Porsche itself does not have extended warranties programs, so they sell third-parties.

Like Fidelity Warranty Services. (FYI, 4-Year 48,000 miles extended Powertrain only warranty for $3,200?)

Just checking...

To my knowledge Porsche offers extended warranties globally.. It is quite costly though 2000 USD/year if car is less than 8 years old.. covers everything mechanical and eletrical except parts that are wearable....ex clutch etc...

I purchased one last year for this price for my 05' 997 ... I will not renew it though this year...

Not in California. State laws vary.

I was able to purchase an extended powertrain warranty for 6 years or 60,000 miles for $2,800.

So, I'm now covered all the way to 100,000 miles.

I'm in California.

Was this from the dealer as a CPO or was 3rd party? Porsche doesn't offer an extended warranty other than CPO here in Cali.. If you did please enlighten me, other wise I may not keep the car once the lease is up.
