Opinions Really Appreciated

I have an 01 Boxster S with manual tranny. Arctic Silver with black soft top. My rear window is caput. I am weighing having a

new window sewn in OR purchasing a hardtop. I've seen the silver on silver look. I have never ever seen an arctic silver with

a BLACK hardtop. Now is that cuz its a very bad idea ? Or has nobody thought of it ? I'm intrigued by it. I may do some Photoshops

of what it would look like. I'm asking all of you kind Boxster Owner's if: A. has anyone seen such a beast ? B. If you can picture it,

how do you think what I'm describing would look ? and C. If ANYONE has one of these (Arctic Silver, Black hardtop), could you post

photos of it ? Would be greatly appreciated.

I saw one up close a few years back; like the photoshop'd pic at this link http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=499815 , I think it would look better in satin or matt finish.

From a resale perspective, I've got to believe that a fixed ragtop would fare better than a broken one, with a hardtop...additionally, I found my former Boxster far too noisy (engine noise) with the top up.

My opinion is that cars with non-matching hardtops looked pieced together, you may as well toss a black door on one side too.

Black works a little better, I definitely agree with the sentiment that any other color would look absolutely dreadful.

I'm in desperate need of a wheel refurb, and I think I will do them black. I think everyones taste will differ though, to be honest. Thing is, as long as the driver of the car is happy then who cares? And a bit of originality never hurts! Theres not many boxsters in my club regions that look like mine! :jump:
